Within the framework of the Peres Center for Peace, a number of projects were designed, some of which are now under implementation on a regional basis and others through a bilateral program. These include the production of hard wheat for the pasta industry, a regional program for overcoming the red palm weevil on date plantations, the planning and implementation of aquaculture enterprises, labor intensive quality crop production, post harvest care and marketing in Jordan and the Palestinian Authority, and initiatives in agro-forestry, the enhancement of the rural environment and biotechnology.
