Mission
Guided by an integrated regional approach to peacebuilding among Israel and its neighbors, Med2020 – the Department for the Mediterranean Vision in the Name of Leo Savir – promotes the establishment of a Mediterranean ecology of peace: a comprehensive culture of peaceful coexistence through multilateral cooperation. Med2020 is dedicated to creating a feeling of collective regional identity, heritage and responsibility, through spearheading projects that enhance regional professional cooperation in the fields of culture, tourism, trade and environment. Accordingly, 2020 is not a target date, but rather a visionary direction.
