Recognizing that there is an increasing need for the strengthening of Palestinian and Israeli civil societies, who are the key to forging a brighter future for this conflict region, the Peace NGO Forum brings together over 100 Israeli and Palestinian peace organizations to partake in an organized platform for strategizing and networking, enhancing the member organizations' independent and joint work capacities.
The project’s activities are focused on three main components: Networking, Competence Building and Media Advocacy. Together, these three elements comprise a comprehensive package for strengthening organizational efforts and developing ties between Israeli and Palestinian Peace NGOs.

The Peace NGO Forum commenced activities at the beginning of 2006, with generous support provided by the European Union Partnership for Peace Program and the Region of Tuscany (Italy). The Forum builds on
previous ties forged between Palestinian and Israeli NGOs at various ad hoc encounters. So far, numerous
activities have been held, including unilateral meetings, a Bilateral Conference, and working group encounters. Additionally, a major
Civil Society Peace Summit was held in June 2007.
