Since 2010 the Peres Center and KICKFAIR have worked together on a number of initiatives. The organizations began an exchange project with a special focus on youth leadership and peacebuilding through football. Together the organizations published a comprehensive document on their project KICK FOR UNDERSTANDING – PLAY FOR PEACE. The document gives a detailed overview on the background of the project, the exchanges, the challenges, key lessons learned and the common targets for the future.
In addition, through the partnership with KICKFAIR the Peres Center participated in a unique project entitled "11 Women", which uses the stories of 11 special women - amongst them Tami Hay, the Director of the Peres Center's Sport Department and Mili Lugasi and Amira Muhammad Sulaiman Fahidat, two participants of our Twinned Peace Football Schools - in a project designed to educate people, especially youngters, about the empowering impact of sport and the importance of women and girls' participation in sport.
The project is supported by the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation, adidas and the German Ministry of the Interior |
