The Twinned Peace Sports Schools program has reached over 20,000 children and youth, boys and girls, Arabs and Jews, Israelis and Palestinians.

Kick for Understanding, Play for Peace

Project Aim

This project is an exchange between the German organization KICKFAIR and the Peres Center that aims to share knowledge and experience between organizations that utilize football as a peacebuilding tool and develop young leaders to spread the message.

How It Works

Since 2010 the Peres Center and KICKFAIR have worked together on a number of initiatives. The organizations began an exchange project with a special focus on youth leadership and peacebuilding through football. Together the organizations published a comprehensive document on their project KICK FOR UNDERSTANDING – PLAY FOR PEACE. The document gives a detailed overview on the background of the project, the exchanges, the challenges, key lessons learned and the common targets for the future.

Several youth exchange activities took place over the past years. Additionally, the two organizations continue to hold a simultaneous annual peace tournament.
