STATISTICS

Over 600 business meetings annually facilitated between Palestinian businesspeople with Israeli companies, resulting in commercial deals valued at millions of shekels each year.

Regional Economic Research

Project Aim

This project produces professional research on economic scenarios in the region and makes recommendations that promote win-win outcomes for Palestinians, Israelis and the Middle East at large.

How It Works

Unique working groups comprised of Palestinian, Israeli and international economic experts, members of economic organizations, academics and officials from international institutions work together to produce economic research of regional relevance. Recommendations are published in position papers that are disseminated to generate awareness of findings among senior level decision-makers. Previous work includes an economic analysis of the “Road Map”, the Israeli disengagement from Gaza, two volumes of papers on final status issues between Israel and the Palestinian Authority, and the economic implications of the Arab Peace Initiative.

Research projects were facilitated by the Aix Group, a joint Israeli-Palestinian-international economic think tank. The Aix Group is directed by the five members of its Steering Committee and administered by the Peres Center in Israel, Data Studies & Consultation in Bethlehem and ICMGA in France.

The publications can be found in the Publications page.
