About the Project |
This project utilizes the power of a simple picture to tell the stories of Israeli and Palestinian youngsters from both sides of the wall, who are a part of the Twinned Peace Sports Schools project, and portray a reality of how the "other" side lives.
The project helps the participants to overcome their differences and connect with each other, even though they come from different societies and live in complete segregation.

Project Aim |
Within the framework of the 'Siyakhona' project (Siyakhona is a South African phrase which means 'WE CAN DO IT'), 6 Israeli and Palestinian youths are trained in digital media and film making. With such training, the youths will document the lives of the participants in the Twinned Peace Sports School project. The final outcome of this project (films and photos) will serve as an integral part of the peace building workshops and activities that are facilitated throughout the sports programs. The final films and photos will be presented in the Football for Hope Festival in Brazil in 2014.
This project is generously supported by SONY and FIFA and is implemented within the framework of the Football for Hope program.
